Why Starting a Business is Like Growing a Baby

We may have mentioned that we think about our progress toward launch feels much like being pregnant and waiting to give birth. It's totally true. Here's why:

• Your due date (launch date) doesn't mean anything. Shit's out of your control.

• You vacillate between thrilled anticipation and total terror about what you're getting yourself into.

• You feel desperately unprepared and also like you're a total badass and could take on the world

• You call everyone who might have some advice

• You spend hours scouring the internet for all of the *best* stuff ... and for advice for what you don't even know you're going to need to know because you don't know!

• And in the end, you do it your own way anyways, cause you know you've got this

• ...and you get really impatient toward the end. I mean am I actually going to get a baby or what?! Where are my bras!

We're still a little more than a month away from having those bras in hand, but our gestation has been longer than the typical 9 months. We're more like pregnant elephants.
